I like Video Games and I make Video Games

I also make Devlogs about my games occasionally

About

A bit about me and what I do.

Who am I?

I'm IndieDave. I'm an Indie Game Developer and Content Creator. I've been developing games since I was a kid, and it's my main passion.

What do I do?

I mainly develop games, though I'm also into modelling, animating, web-development, Video-Editing, etc.

What are my goals?

My main goal is to entertain. Plain and simple.
I value simplicity over complexity in all of my projects.
I also share templates, tools and tips to help other developers.

Get a Job!

Get a Job! is a satirical Horror Game that I created shortly after the whole thing with the unemployment form meme got popular.

The goal of the game is to complete tasks while running away from an evil unemployment form

Timeout

Timeout is a fast paced puzzle parkour game with a mechanically rich and intense movement system.

The project was meant to become a full game, but I decided to keep it as a simple Demo for testing and reviewing purposes.

I cancelled the project due to lack of updates and ideas

Bombs.io

A browser game inspired by Bomberman, where players throw bombs to kill players and destroy boxes which drop powerups.

The game is currently in development and will be released somewhere around Spring 2026

Procedural Terrain Tool

A Unity editor tool for generating terrain, paths, and structure placement with rules per layer.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I download your games?

My games are available on itch.io. You can find some of my games there, and download the zipped versions, which are currently available for Windows PCs only. I will start releasing my games on Steam, once they are more polished and ready for a wider audience.

Can I use your tools or assets in my projects?

All of the tools and assets on my GitHub are free for you to use in your own projects, both personal and commercial. Just make sure to give me credit in your game, should you use any of them.

Where can I follow your updates?

I post regular updates on all of my socials. Each platform has different types of content: YouTube is mainly for devlogs, Instagram and TikTok are for quick updates and clips, while Discord and Reddit is for community interaction and direct communication.

How can I reach you?

For inquiries, please reach out via email at egginquiries@proton.me, or dm me on Discord, Instagram, TikTok, whatever.

What kind of games do you play usually?

I'm mostly into FPS games, either tactical shooters or class-based shooters, but I also enjoy open world, puzzle, horror and of course the ever-growing Friendslop titles, as long as the game is playable in first person perspective.

Do you work in a team or a company?

No, I'm a solo developer. I occasionally work with friends to ask them for feedback, and I also attend playtesting events with other developers, but I do all of the work myself.

Will your games be Free To Play?

I make sure that my games will continue to be Free To Play titles. My goal is to make my games as accesible as possible, in order to get as many people as possible to play and enjoy my games. I might add some paid features like cosmetic items into my games in the future, but I promise to never add any pay-to-win mechanics into my games.
If I ever release a bigger game, I might put a price tag on the full version, but that price tag will stay under $10 for sure, and I'll make sure to add a free Demo for that game as well.

How can I support you?

You can support me through Patreon, where you can get access to exclusive content, behind-the-scenes updates, early access to new projects, and more privileges like Discord roles for exclusive channels, etc.

Will you ever make games in Unreal Engine or Godot?

I have actually never tried Godot, and I don't plan on using Unreal Engine in the future. I'm happy with Unity and I don't see a reason to use any other engine.

Where did you learn how to code?

I'm a self-taught developer. I learned coding through online tutorials, documentation, and a lot of trial and error. I personally believe that the best way to learn anything is by just doing it, learning from it, and improving. I started in Game Development by making tiny games like in Scratch or Text Adventures in Notepad, and I worked myself up from there.

What does IndieDave mean?

IndieDave is my online Persona / Identity. I chose the name because I'm an Indie Game Developer, and my real name is Dave. So I combined the two to create IndieDave. So smart 🧠

Why the F*%k is your Avatar an egg?

Good Question 😂 When I created my online Persona / Identity, I wanted to create an Avatar which was extremely simple to create, with a single color and a recognizable shape. So I came up with a white egg. It's as simple as that.
